What’s this?
This, my friends, is the official blog of Aspenleiter Sewing & Vacuum. If you’ve been to our Facebook page, you may be familiar with Sarah’s Sewing Tips. This blog is the upgraded version, which will be full of new content that will be easier to browse.
Here you will find tips for successful sewing, along with updates and news from the store. Occasionally, “the boys” will share some of their own tips regarding sewing and vacuuming. Of course, we would love your feedback and suggestions – after all, we’re looking to connect more to the community with this blog! If you would like to see a specific sewing tip, vacuum tip, or something entirely different, send us a suggestion with the contact form to the right!
Okay, but who are you?
My name is Sarah, and I am one of the technicians that fixes sewing machines at Aspenleiter. I also teach the new Sewing Technical Class, and have been with the team for five years. It is my goal to make sure that everyone is armed with the knowledge and confidence they need to sew successfully.
I consider myself an avid seamstress, even if I don’t get as much time to work on projects as I’d like! Most of my sewing experience comes from fashion and costume design. I am the first to admit that my practical quilting skills are lacking, but I see that as an opportunity for learning.
I strongly believe that having a solid foundation of technical knowledge of a sewing machine will help you succeed in all of your sewing projects. As I come across useful tips in my own sewing and repair work, I’ll share them with you here!
All the best,
Sarah.
